20% Project Work

This week 4th and 5th Graders from Team Voyager and Team Enterprise continued working on their 20% Projects.
20% Project come from Google where they encourage engineers and employees to commit a portion of their time to a passion project.
Students will share their projects at the 20% Fair. Originally this was slated to take place on March 5th. Due to the number of snow days, we have pushed the fair back. We are currently looking at mid-April and will keep you posted when we secure the date.
Tevin is working to code a game using the program Tynker. This week he adjusted the speed and movements of his character and changed how the viewer would see the baseball in a certain segment. He is realizing how much code goes into a small portion of a game! He was excited to share his progress with his peers.
Bella is using her love and talent in art to create a mini gallery show for her 20% Project. She will use different mediums such as drawing, painting, and digital art to show her work!
I love seeing students explore their passions and think about how they can utilize their strengths and interests to benefit their community.
