Project Based Learning PD for Teachers

At Franklin on Monday the PBL council presented to Franklin staff about Project Based Learning. Teachers had the opportunity to explore the Essential Elements of Project Based Learning (Key Knowledge and Understanding, Challenging Problem or Question, Sustained Inquiry, Authenticity, Student Voice and Choice, Reflection, Critique and Revision, Public Product), view and critique projects the council has approached, and begin planning their own PBL unit.

It is exciting to see the amazing energy in classrooms that have been participating in Project Based Learning this year. Students are engaged, teachers are excited, and real world learning is happening at every turn.

Expect to see more Project Based Leanring happening school wide at Franklin Elementary!
