This week I was able to meet with groups at each school for one last time this year. We came together, reflected on the year, then had some snacks while playing games. It was great to have a chance to chat, laugh, and spend time together.
Students played Wizard Chess, regular Chess, Harry Potter Trivia, Apples to Apples, Candy Land, Dominoes, and some chose iPad games.
I gave each students a gift of glow stars with this quote from Pamela Vaull Starr on the tag:

I made sure to tell them to check with adults before sticking them anywhere :)
I read the quote and we talked about what it meant to each student. We talked about how our dreams and wishes can inform the choice we make and the goals we set for ourselves.
It has truly been a great year. I've loved seeing students engaged in projects and direct their own learning while practicing collaboration. Its always hard to see my 5th graders move on after 3 years of seeing them grow, but they are all ready for the next chapter. I look forward to seeing them at district events and hearing about their Intermediate school adventures next year.
Have a wonderful summer everyone.
