Happy 2019-2020 School Year!

Welcome back to returning families and a warm welcome to all new families! We're off to a great start this school year. I have had the chance to visit most classes and take part in community building, lessons, read aloud, and workshops. Students are enthusiastic about new learning and making new friends.

This year I will be working almost exclusively in classrooms, co-teaching and working closely with classroom teachers. I will be working to extend lessons so all students are introduced to rigorous above grade level content. I will work with small groups during workshop times and implement or continue Project Based Learning in many classrooms. At Irving I will also be co-teaching with Innovation Coach, Mr. Thompson during several class's Innovation Station time. Here we'll be facilitating STEM and Project Lead the Way Activities.

I try to post each week when possible. I typically send and email notifying you all of new posts. In the next week everyone will be receiving a welcome letter. Identified GCT students have a goal setting form to fill out and send back. Please get this back to me as soon as possible.
