Travel Agent Client Proposals
3rd Grade students from Ms. Milroy's math group are working towards completing their Travel Agent project. Most students have moved on to their client presentations on Google Slides. They have calculated flight, hotel, food, souvenir, and activity cost using real world price points. They have utilized multiplication, division, finding mean averages, and developed original media to present. Once complete they will share their proposals with their clients (5th Grade students).
Literary Entrepreneurs Website Design
5th Grade RWB Reading Group students are finalizing their business websites. They have identified character traits for their chosen book character, developed an idea for a business based on those traits, created a business web, business plan, original logo, and their final product will be the website. They worked diligently today on their Google Site development.
4/5 Innovation Station
Students got creative with their compound machines today. This will be their final task before putting all of their simple machine, compound machine, and force knowledge to the test. They will need to create a machine that can safely rescue a fallen tiger from a moat. This is the scenario that launched the unit and gave students purpose for their learning. We'll be asking students to also calculate the speed and force with which their machine completes the task. This will require them to use formulas, multiplication, and division.
CESA 1 Regional Spelling Bee
Last Tuesday, February 28, Anvesha represented Irving at our Regional Spelling Bee. She joined 28 other students in grades 4-8 to compete for a spot in the Wisconsin State Bee. She progressed to the final 10 against the top spellers in Southeastern Wisconsin. While none of the WAWM finalists will be advancing, they made our district proud in their dedication and performance competing thus far.

Have a wonderful weekend everyone!
