Team Odyssey is off to a great start with their Extreme Weather design PBL unit. Students were inspired to start thinking about their weather proof homes after our visit from architect, Mr. Voltz last week. This week students have researched their extreme weather events, collected data, created line graphs to display data, and began sketching their home design ideas. Next they'll need to work as a group to either create a new design from combination of their ideas or choose one idea that will inspire their model. In art they will began to create their extreme weather homes.
At Jefferson the 3rd Grade reading group continued to work on their set models. They are creating designs based on the evidence they pulled from 3 separate versions of the same folk or fairy tale. Their theatric designs are really coming along!
