Ms. Geiss's class continues work on their Literary Entrepreneur PBL Unit. They have been reading their independent books and recording character traits and motivations. The next step is to decide on a business that they feel their character would create if they were to come to life.
To get the brainstorming process started students participated in "The 50 Things Brainstorming Protocol". There were asked to come up with as many possible businesses as they could in 10 minutes. The expectations are that everyone participates, they go for quantity over quality, reserve judgement, say as you write, and have fun! After a few minutes the groups really got rolling with their ideas.
When their time was up we hung the posters in the hallway. Students circulated and recorded ideas that they could build on for their character. Next week they will brainstorm independently to come up with even more possibilities!
