UWM's Manfred Olson Planetarium

On Thursdays 6/6 and 6/13 our PAGE (Parents for the Advancement of Gifted Education) Group hosted events at UWM's Manfred Olson's Planetarium. These were facilitated by Dr. Jean Creighton, astronomist and physicist, who shared her vast knowledge with us. We hope to hold these events again next year. Several students from out district were able to attend-registration and wait lists filled up very quickly.

We explored different constellations and galaxies, history, mythology, and more. It was an incredible experience. She answered questions for the group for about a half hour, students and parents alike took part in this great discussion.

I highly recommend a visit here if your family has not attended. There are shows every Friday night that are open to the public and only $6.00. We are going tonight to the show, "Scale of the Universe". What better way to celebrate Valentine's Day :)
